Policies and procedures

 Monthly Class Fees

• The $50 monthly class fee is due at the beginning of each month (September-April) and considered late after the 10th. A $10 late fee will be added to each late payment. If payment is not received by the 20th the student will not be allowed to participate until the balance is paid.

• Checks (made payable to your instructor. IE Kelsey Crumpton or Dana Gsell), cash and money orders are accepted. If paying with cash, PLEASE put it in a envelope and include the student’s name.

• If multiple siblings are enrolled, a ‘sister discount’ is offered ($10 off total of combined fees).

• There is a $30 fee for all returned checks.

• Monthly class fees will not be prorated except in the instance of late enrollment. If there are less than three classes held in any given month (due to holidays or inclement weather) the missed class time will be made up by extending class times and/or adding a make-up day at the end of the year.

Additional Costs

• A $5 insurance fee is due in addition to the monthly fee when a student begins class.

• Batons can be purchased directly from the instructor for $30 each (cost includes 2 colors of tape)

• A costume fee of $35 is due by October 15th and applies to all classes. This includes the costume top ONLY. Black jazz shoes and black yoga-style pants are to be worn with the costume for performances and these must be purchased on your own.

• Students and parents will have the opportunity to purchase t-shirts throughout the year. All shirts are OPTIONAL. However, if a student is planning to march in the Christmas parade the purchase of the parade shirt is required. The parade shirt will cost no more than $20.

• A $30 recital fee will be due for any student planning to participate in the end of the year recital (due by March 1st).

Performances

• All classes will have the opportunity to perform at a high school basketball game. The basketball game performances will take place in December or January.

• All classes will have the opportunity to march in the Chelsea Christmas Parade. The parade is usually scheduled for the 2nd Saturday in December.

• Recital is held in April

• More detailed information pertaining to each performance will be shared as soon as it is confirmed.

Miscellaneous Information

• Parents/spectators are not allowed to observe class due to Shelby County policy. This is purely for the safety of the students.

• All students must be signed out at the end of every class.

• If your student will be absent from class, please text/email the instructor. We account for each absent student’s whereabouts at every single class. A text/ email will let us know that your student is safe and where she is supposed to be.

• Baton classes will not meet if the school is closed or in case of early dismissal
